Rev. Stan Elliott, Pastor (pictured with Lydia, Daniel, and Amy) Stan grew up in Nashville, TN. He began his college studies at Tennessee Tech and then transferred to Carson Newman College where he graduated in 1981. Following marriage to Lydia J. Peoples, he taught school in South Carolina before attending seminary. He graduated with a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in December of 1985. Stan has served churches in South Carolina, Louisiana, Virginia, and Tennessee. He has worked in student, education, and recreation ministries and now serves as pastor. Stan is grateful to be serving with the outstanding staff and fine congregation at First Baptist Church of Clinton. "I

to be the authentic presence of Christ in this community in whatever
