The Quarterlife years,
approximately ages 22 to 32, are
tougher than ever before. With changes in the job market and
economy,
Quarterlifers find the world after college, military service, or
vocational training far different than what they expected. Between work, finances, and
trying to make it through the roller coaster of relationships, it's
easy to end up bummed out, stressed out, and just
plain burned out. Our goal is to provide a safe,
caring, supportive environment for quarterlifers as they go through
this unique period in their lives.
- 56.8% of men and 43.2% of women ages
22-31 live with their parents.
- The number of young adults living at
home has increased 50% since the 1970s.
- The average number of jobs a person has
between the ages of 18 and 32 is 8.6 jobs.
- The average age of marriage has shifted
from 21 for women and 23 for men in 1970 to 25 for women and 27 for men.
- Quarterlifers are the first generation
not projected to do better financially than our parents.
- More than 40% of college students
graduate owing more than $20,000 in student loans.
- 41% of 20-29-year-olds say they feel
significantly pressured or "almost more stress than they can bear."
